Today was the Children's Literature Network's annual Books for Breakfast, celebrating local children's book authors and illustrators.
The featured book this year was Cat Tale by Michael Hall.
Cat Tale is full of homophones and homonyms, and to celebrate this the centerpieces were filled with cat tales (covers of books about cats), cattails (from nature), and cat tails (the back end of cats!). We enjoyed working on these centerpieces last weekend with Steve and Vicki of CLN, along with other volunteers.
Kimberly Faurot, a librarian for Saint Paul Public Libraries, bought tickets for Frog and Toad - they enjoyed a buggy breakfast!
