Heartland Fall Forum

Today we attended the Heartland Fall Forum, where we got to talk with publishers, hear about new books coming out, meet authors, and leave with a truckload full of new books and advance readers. Heaven!

Heartland was held at The Depot in Minneapolis. It was a great setting!

We attended the young adult and children's authors breakfast in the morning. The keynote speakers this year were Maggie Stiefvater, Mary Casanova, Patricia MacLachlan, and Sarah Stewart and David Small.

We received signed copies of each of their newest books.

In the evening, the keynote speaker was Eric Rohmann. He was fantastic!

We received signed copies of his newest book, which his partner (Candace Fleming) wrote.

This is a fraction of the books that came home with us. We had to buy a new bookshelf!

Some advanced readers that we were especially excited to get our hands on!

In the evening we had the opportunity to meet even more authors who were there signing their newest books.

Local author David LaRochelle wrote a very sweet inscription:

We had such a great day! I'm not saying for sure, but there's a chance we might already be counting down the days till next year's forum...
